If you have a local motorcycle wrecking yard you could pull your tank off and take it down to match it up a close as possible.

I saw that Rebel but I just get a weird feeling from that page. And honestly they are likely out of parts already...

It's quite a difference in size and it's too cold out for me to try to mount it at the moment. I think I will need a different mounting kit for it to work. Hopefully I can make it work because I like the way it looks and I think it would look good on my red bike...thoughts?

Don't think it will work, it would take some serious modification to the bike, it will probably interfere with the steering.

I am attempting to return the tank, gonna have to seek other options. if I omit the turn signal relay that I don't use I might get a flat bottom tank to mount with the adapters.

just spent a lot of time looking for a tank just made for your bike. I found a couple other versions that were sold with different names, most recent was 2010. I think it will be a new old sock on some dealers shelf or just fixing the leak. Even ebay does not seem to have the exact replacement listed currently.

I used to be on one for my 450 Rebel, those guys were willing to put a repo chinese tank on their bikes for the right price.

I saw that tank too...As far as fixing the tank until I figure out how to remove the last bit of gas I can't even attempt a sealer and finding a welder doesn't seem possible right now anyway. I'm just feeling panicked because we aren't that long before winter's over and I'll need to ride again...

get some cotton rope and feed a long length into the tank, pack as much as you can in there, it will absorb the gas, you can always do it over for any amount remaining.
