I totally understand. Don't just toss it in the trash though, if you are going to do something like that just give it to a high school shop class to work on.
You might even get a small engine shop to work on it to get it fixed, look for a lawn mower repair shop.

I found one in town but everytime I go there they are closed and he doesn't answer his emails. I just don't want to throw more money into it if I'm going to get something else.
I didn't think it through at the time, I just felt drawn to it and I bought it.

...I may be able to help with something.....would you be willing to ship it to someone if I can get him to say do a favor for me? He's the voted best in local 57 and of new England welder. Atm he does x Ray tested welding for the shipyard I worked at. But my dad is extremely good at this type of fix I'd just have to pull a favor out my pocket lol

I posted in the show off section...it's a Schwinn Newton 150. 2009 brand new just been sitting in the shop where I bought it from.
