Newbie here I have an RC Moto Tank Mini Chopper. My only issue at this point is a lot of what has been described for improvements assumes a belt drive, mine is a chain drive system. I replaced the spark plug but it bogs even more than it did BEFORE I replaced the plug. Any thoughts?

Welcome, nice looking little bike. Looks like a copy of a horizontal Honda single cylinder motor.
Does it bog down with throttle? Is it possible it needs the carb looked at.

It is highly likely the carb needs to be looked at. Unfortunately I am the bottom of the barrel this month till I get paid at on the 1st of September.
I am contemplating trying to keep this going till next spring and then look into either getting a bore kit or replacing the motor altogether. Though the motors are hard to find.

Can you post a pic of the motor?
Check around for a loose hose, dirty fuel filter, perhaps pull the bowl off the carb and see if the float is leaking or if you have dirt in the needle valve.

I think it is the one they run in the Honda "monkey" bikes, seems they make it up to about a 150cc motor and it has a lot of hot rod parts available for it.

I found motors but the only one I could locate is the 110cc and I'm not sure I want to do that because that makes it a Motorcycle in my state.

Yeah, that is a consideration.
You can still probably find a cam for it, if it does not have electronic ignition you can get that, even fuel injection is probably out there for it.

I was considering just getting a big bore kit but most of them aren't quite what my mind is trying to tell me it wants...

More cc's make more power but then you are back to being a motorcycle.

It depends on the Bore Kit. I could go to an 80cc big bore kit and stay under the cc limit. I have been trying to find a 90cc motor but haven't had any luck.

I didn't find a 90, Scappy dog scooters has a 125 for about $330.00, found 125cc, 140cc and 150cc on ebay doing a search for lifan 90cc motor. Also goggled 90cc monkey motor and found 125cc sites but no 90. You might try a local motorcycle wrecking yard, Honda made that 90cc for a long time.
Going from a 50cc to a 125cc for about $300.00 might be worth making it a motorcycle, it certainly would perform better. I had 90's and a 110 that would do 50 mph, if you sprang for 150cc, I saw one for $500.00 on ebay, you could keep up with a lot of traffic and could probably go with a smaller rear sprocket for a higher top speed.

Yeah I saw all of that on Ebay as well...Kind of thinking about a particular 110cc I found on Ebay...
It would just preclude me from riding it till I get the proper license endorsement.
I appreciate your searching as well...

Even if you get to 90cc it has to be faster then 30 mph. I've been stoped several times in the up. By head on offibers till they saw that my zuma was plated never asked to see my dl. They always just said had to make sure you had a plate as you were going more then 30

I'll keep that in mind. I just want more pick up then I have now. It takes off so slowly and I live in a more metro area...
I am leaning on trying at the very least upgrading the air filter, carb for now. Possibly a bore kit.
