well, that turned into a bust... whomever I contacted on the weekend didn't know crap, the dealer doesn't fix tanks...I found a wholesaler who has the tank just like mine but I can't seem to get a response from them as of yet...
they are called mefast motors...anyone know about them?

Yeah never mind about mefast...they show the tank with the same mounts on it on their website I wasted my time calling the 800 number because he insisted it wouldn't fit...I could clearly see it was the right mounts.
So I'm back to square one...

Have one fabricated maybe? Or sometimes they sell custom tanks just measure your mounts measure theirs and dont mention what it's for lol I learned that early on if I wanted to customise and told them what it was for they avoid it like the plague so you cannot claim they have u the wrong thing ect later.

It may not look the best but idk how your mounts are...northern tool sells custom minibike gas tanks for like those rupps ect. It may or may not work

Talk to a welding shop, they should be able to fix it for you if anybody could.

I found one on Amazon for a Honda rebel the mounts look right but someone mentioned I could use one of those aftermarket mounting stuff to attach it to the frame in a different manner...
Most welding shops won't touch it till I get the last drops of gas out and I can't...LOL.
I keep asking myself, "why in the hell didn't I leave the dang thing alone?"

Hey its cool we all try to innovate ect it happens its human to want something to be your own. As long as it fits in the space provided I'd say mounts are easy to make with scrap steel a grinder a drill and measuring tape

I think it might work the mounts look right. And since the wholesaler wanted nothing to do with selling me one of his that looks exactly like the one I already have...

Next month if that tank is still there I think I'm going to go ahead and get it. I'm not exactly sure what else to do at this point. Since I cannot find any dealers for that wholesaler's parts who has a tank that looks exactly like mine minus the color scheme.
