that is a good price, but, I'm sticking with a Calif dealer so that I know I can get it tagged. I went through a screw job online and if I lived in another state might try it but, not in Kalifornia.

OK, I checked Kliffs link out a bit more, that is a Calif company and it has stores in California according to the page, not only that but they off a big ruckus clone, and that is the one I actually prefer, their price is about 400-500.00 less than others I've seen on the internet. Bears closer looking into, Thanks Kliff.

Getting closer every day now Cuz..... wrapped up the cvt today. Prodigy 115mm racing Variator, Dr Pulley 14mm sliders, and faceplate bushings, the "long" 42 belt, 1500 clutch pills, and 1000 torquer..... Sould be looking at an honest 62-65mph, once broken in on 12-13" wheels @ 7000rpms, maybe a little less. Gonna be wrapping this puppy up this week Doug.

Amazing work Kliff glad to have you working on scooters instead of those ol raggity ass hd's. LOL So Im assuming the larger holes in the diaphragm you opened up and chamferred will increase the main needle response? 10/4 Jeremy, it will increase slide response time, and since the Mikunis us an aluminum slide, it will even out the pressure wave inside the slide, so as to balance it's rise, and help do away with flutter. Thanks for the props man.

If Doug is referring to the tires and rims I sold him with the engine, they are 13's. The rubber is a great tire - Avon Viper Stryke AM63. 13 60 130. Should stick to the road real good. Only 200-300 miles on the tires

Those are the ones, they are safely tucked away indoors out of the weather, great looking wheels too.

I'd agree with that statement Numbski. I can take em apart and put them back together and have them run, but Kliff can blueprint the suckers.

Hey Kliff,
Doug (in San Diego) and I are getting together in a couple of weeks to install your valve springs and camshaft.
Can you give some pointers on porting/polishing? When you say you're "tulliping" something, I don't know what that means. I don't think I want to turn my head into a masterpiece, I just want to know what things to look out for, and how to do some moderate tweaking.
I have a $10 generic dremel from Harbor Freight...
I know polishing improves the speed gases fly through it, but how do you actually polish it? I'm assuming you polish the chamber and exhaust, is that it? What substance, what kind of rag, how do you do it, etc etc.
Port matching ought to be pretty simple, but I can see how porting can turn into a bad self-given haircut too, always cutting off more and more until you're bald.
Thanks brother.

I don't think you want to do the tulip thing. I think he is referring to the actual valves there, he will lighten them up and polish them off. Takes a high level of skill to not mess up. I have one of those ten dollar moto tools from HF, you probably need to get one that is a little better, mine at least heats up very fast so it sits on the shelf and I use a better one. It is my understanding that it is pretty safe to port/polish the exhaust side of the head, a bit more complicated to do the intake. For the exhaust side you can take your gasket/ring and trace on the head an outline of the inner edge of the ring , then grind down to that to match the edges and decrease the turbulence for the exhaust side. Remember to clean it up real well too, the stones leave abrasive and that can wear the moving parts out very fast. Here is a thread at SD for you to look at; scootdawg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=125ccandlarger4strokegy6&action=display&thread=21600
