I like the look of that pipe, Olive is going to be a great scoot when you are done with her.

I understand that is why 2t's are so fast, so they can run away from the smoke.

well olive went out for a test run today
just seconds after taking her off the lift she had to go back up
one of the angles on the center stand was hitting the simonini pipe so out came the grinder and off came the obstruction
im not worried about taking it out as the stock didnt have the cross braces so i doubt it is needed
wow
she runs like a top i can now hit 50 indicated in 3rd and easily hit 60 indicated in 4th i didnt get a good run as i was just going up and down my road and had to let off before i found the sand and the snow and ice on the road a recap of the mods so far vsx airfilter 24/24 carb sominini pipe

OK, now just how fast was it before the mods?? Sounds like a pretty quick little scooter now, but of course the 2 stroke just goes fast anyway.

ok well i have done 2 plug reads the first one either i still had old or bad gas or i wasnt wraped out in 3rd long enough as it looked like i needed a colder plug or i was black rich so i redid it doing 55 for 1/2 mile in 3rd and she is good but on the lean side of good so im looking for some jets i do have a wish list at the shop for when they place there next order with any of the companies that have them but being it is very early in the season it may be a bit before they place an order but in the mean time o have a cht coming to put on olive so i will know if she is too lean in real time as im scooting down the road

on the si carb its a jet stack so drilling isnt realy a good idea becuase it may be the atomizer that needs to be adjusted but you start with the main and work thru all the goodies the si carbs can be a pia to get dialed in some times plus my size isnt even on there im at a 116 right now

on reason the jetting may be lean right now is it has barley been 40 it was in the mid to upper 30s when i did the chops that show her a tad lean so i ordered a cht last week well i installed a cht on olive to keep track of her temp isnt it great what you can do with a chunk of exhasut tubing a bit of flat iron gringer dril and welder

ok well the cht that i was sent was defective it worked for about 15 minutes before the needle fell off but the seller was great he sent me another one right away and it seems to be working fine i havent riden the last few days and i wont get to ride till this weekend the weatherman said the weather was going to turn to crap so i decided to start some more body mods as she sits right now i have filled the area where the stock turn singals are welded in a peice where the body line was on the cowel (so they will be smooth now) and drilled the first two holes for my new tail lights the new lights are 1 in dia red led turn/tail lights so between yesterday and today i got all the welding done the welds dressed metal filler in and i have the first skim coat of bondo done on the cowels the second is drying so i can sand it down im hoping to get the cowels in primer tommorow as i have to head out of town for work on wensday if i cant get it finshed tommorrow ill have to do it saturday as soon as i get the primer on and the 2 lights i have in place ill snap some pics
