thanks
she runs great im working on brake in im up to a 130 miles and i set up my brake in service for next friday then after that unless is warranty work ill be doing the wrenching on her
a quick over view if you dont pay attention when you shift and dont let all the way off the throttle it will wheelie on you even going from 3rd to 4th for a unbroken in scoot she is fast i had her crusing at 55 tonight and have had her up to 60 for a brief stint
if she runs even better after brake in i think the only mechical mods will be a pipe other then that it will just be farkel i ordered some black cowel guards today i was going to get a rack first but the cowel guards in blace are discontinued so i figured get them while i can
i also have to find some baby moon hub caps to fit her as the ones scooter works has wont fit the stella

Does anybody else think of an old Marlin Brando movie when they read this thread?

I think that Stella is purdy....I bet she could hang a heck of a wheelie with the motor in the back.

well i have spent way too much time at the scooter shop these last few days we had a ride on saturday and a ride last night(that ride was to raise money for a dog park) and then again today for brake in service and some warranty work as for the warranty work they are ordering me a new rim there is a minor tweak in it i have the spare on right now i had an ele issue my ele start wasnt working well it turns out there was a bad ground that is fixed now
and now the pia the head lights i will need to go back in for this again turns out there was a bad connector and the lights were cutting out now when i shift into 4th gear the high beam cuts in and out so ill have to have them check it again when i get a chance i think we will end up adding some wire as 4th gear is the handle twisted all the way and it may be pinching or unpluging the wire
but other then these minor issues it is a great bike and i expect minor issues as even though it is a new bike in reality it is a "new vintage" bike
well as for the wheelie i havent done any on purpose but yes it is a wheelie machine

Oh no, Stella is totaled???
Sorry to hear that, but I am guessing you are fine and am glad for that. I hope the insurance company does notgive you any trouble.

yes i am fine i almost always wear a good amount of gear helmet gloves jacket plus i had my rain pants on so no road rash just got bruised up pretty good heck when i went to the er later that night they i was still so pissed plus i was starting to hurt pretty good that they were worried about my bp but when i followed up with my pa it was down where it should have been
his ins has realy been jerking me around so far at 3 weeks i told them my office told me i had to get it out so they said they would pay storage at the shop then it took another week for them to say they werent coming to look at it and to get an estimate and i have had to take pics several times as they never gave me a full list of angles they wanted
im just glad i decided to ask an attorney what i needed to do to get my er bill paid as they took the case and have been dealing with most of the bs
so one thing i can say if you ever get run over run off the road or damaged in any way by a cager do talk to an attorney and please make sure you go to the dr and get checked out you never know what kind of damage you have taken too
i can tank a few things other then some one looking after me that i got out of this ok always be ready to lay it down if you dont have an out if you have gear on it will help you slide down the road and not get too banged up and if you have a ratty old crap bike to pratice laying one down go out in a feild and pratice it when i learning how to ride years ago that was one of the first things my dad made me do pay attention to every thing around you and gear gear gear if you dont have the money to buy top of the line gear buy what you can afford it will help you in the long run if anything were to ever happen

Perhaps Olive can turn into a drag scooter. Glad to hear you are getting things back together and a new scooter out of it.

It is not a pretty sight, but it is not as much as I was expecting. Should be easily repaired.
