yes she should be and i think i found out why she is down on power and missing one pic that i have to find is the rear bumper/fender there is a small dent there but that is part of the frame so you add a "bent" frame to not running right and they say total olive is safe in her new spot in the garage near the space heater and work light ok the plug is fouled out again but when i crank her over with no plug no fuel or oil come out of the cyl but look at these pics of the coil it apears that the grounding strap is busted loose i wonder if i could clean it up and ressoder it

on to the box of goodies i just got for her this is the engine/fan cover the new center stand the stock exhasut that has no cat and is suposed to be unrestriced( im asuming they mean a free flowing or better flowing exhasut) the bigger 24/24e carb (stock is a 20/20) and the vsx air filter (there is no extra blue layer and the stock filter does not have the holes in the heart shaped area the heart is right over the jets) and this is olive on the lift ready for surgery i swaped the carb and air filter out tonight and you can tell that with just the carb and air filter there is more power and she has a more agressive sound :]

showing my 2 t ignorance here, why do you need all those holes in the air filter?
Looks like you are doing some good work there on Olive, I'm sure she will appreciate it.

the big hole sits above the air inlet into the carb the two small holes by the big hole are just for securing the air filter to the carb the oval hole sits over another hole in the carb
now with the way the si carb is set up the two holes in the heart area sit right abouve the jets and will help with better atimiztion of the fuel so even if you had a 4 stroke with this style of carb the holes above the jets would help out
so just like any other carb set up the more air you can get in the more fuel you can add and the more power you can make as long as you can exhale the the exhaust

well i finished putting all the goodies on olive today the new center stand was the bigest pia im sure it would have been easier if i had layed her down on her side instead of leaning her against the lift
as for performance the only increase in top speed i noticed was down hill but she gets up to 55/60 faster and holds the speed up the hills better

So were you going downhill on the same hill you went down before? Did you put some weight on from Thanksgiving??
I'm just wondering about that exhaust system, it may be unrestricted from what the factory sends out, but looks a bit on the complicated side and that 160 degree bend, just can't be really free flowing, is the pipe larger than the old one?

basicly there is almost no external diffrences in the pipes the exception is the stock pipe has what looks like a good old glaspack built into just after the down pipe bend(that is the cat) from what i under stand the baffeling inside is where the diffrence is all the pipes for the vespa/lml/stella scooters have all sorts of funky bends to make them work on the scoot this is the super sexy hotwing 226 as you can see this one does a compete 180 as for the down hill gain im sure ill notice it on the flats on a long ride and no i didnt eat that much turkey i have noticed the same thing with the state of tune on my zuma on the same hill what ever i can hit goint wot down that hill i can hit on long flat runs

well here is the new tail lgiht review of tear drop led unit it is a nice unit though i am a bit disapointed the reason i decided to order this unit from speedway motors was that in the discription of the unit it advertised a rapid pulse brake flasher built in and after i order it go to test it i notice that the brake flasher wasnt working now on the web site it says it can be disabled so i figureed i got one that was shiped disabled so i emailed speedway and today i find out that the web page was wrong it doesnt have the braked flasher built into it and they dont have a tear drop that does speedway did offer to let me return it for a full refund but it by the time i return it and find another unit that has the flasher unit it could be months before i get one so ill just keep this one for now and see if i can find one if not ill add some brake flasher lights now as soon as my new welder gets here i can start cutting up the rearend to weld in the frenching bucket and put the new tailight on

well olive hit the lift today as i got done with work early this is what i found when i took the rear tire off looks like its time for a new one so i swapped the spare onto the rear rim and the crap tire onto the spare rim i had to take the rack and that horrid huge square monstrosity they call a tail light off then i decided that the bucket for the tail lamp was deeper than i thought it need be so i hacked out a bit over an inch and welded the end back on now its time to cut a big ass hole into olive and here is the test fit of the frenching bucket with the lamp in it i still have to weld the bucket in then trim off the extra and get some primer on it all

this is the used pipes am getting its the simonini 125/150 pipe its not a true expansion pipe but its homginized just like the lv zx that the guys run on the zuma 50s (just wait till you see what im going to do to the used zx i got for the z) acording to the dyno charts i have seen is it peaks out faster then the sito plus (another stock style exhasut that is a common stella mod) but it drops off a bit faster but that chart was with a stock carb and i already have the bigger carb and for the price im paying for this pipe its well worth the experiment plus i think right hand pipes look sharp on stellas
