I think you need to jst do one change at a time. When you get a problem it will be easier to figure it out.

Still not sure how the starter system works. I get 12v on the green/yellow and the red/yellow when the rear brake is depressed. Those are the wires from the brake and start switch to the relay. I have 12.8 at the first relay wire (straight from the battery). I get no read at the 2nd wire on the relay (goes to the starter). I have good continuity from the 2nd wire to the starter. Also replaced the relay with the good scoots, same reading and problems. Any ideas?

Well, got an intermittent wire issue inside the switch lol. Cant isolate which wire but theres crappy solder jobs on all of em. If I push down on the wire bundle inside the switch, it'll start. Least I found it!

does any one know if a bad kill switch will shut down gas Gage break light etc>

That looks like a relay to me. Follow both large bolt-on wires. One should go to the battery. The other to the starter. Press the start switch and listen to hear the relay click. Make sure you have 12v on the starter cable off the relay. Cheers, Malcolm.
