Hello again! Thankfully due to the help here, I was able to get my 1st scoot up and running really, really good! (Sadly, still cannot register it due to the previous owner screwing around on getting me the title but eh!).
SO! I ripped apart the 2nd scoot and cleaned out the carb, adjusted the valves, replaced all the fuel and vaccuum lines. I have pretty much all the electrical stuff unplugged, save for the starter, CDI, starter relay, both handbrakes. So the issue I'm having is, when I push the electric start, nothing happens. At all. There is good power (The lights come on when the key is turned, I know the instrument lights and the brake lights work for sure). I haven't put gas in it yet, so I don't know if the kickstart works, but it does move really well through the motions. I took the starter assembly, starter, starter relay, even the key assembly (I bought an aftermarket one, was bigger than the old one and had 2 wires swapped that I had to re swap to get it right). I put all of these parts onto the good scooter I just fixed and everything worked. So far as I can tell the wiring is good, I bird dogged it and didn't see any bare or touching wires, I also tried a variety of fuses to see if that was the problem. The battery usually holds at around 11.2V, but I only tried to start it after charging it to 12.3-ish? Thats all I can think of that I've done, really at a dead stop stand still, planning to sell the scooter once I get the titles, but not going to sell one that you have to kickstart. Thanks in advance!!
