I just threw my 4th, only got 40 to 50 days of use from it brake switch away, from scrappy.
30.00 bucks gone and i still got no brake switch.
I told them and they said thanks for the heads up.
I bought 2 more and just threw the last (4th) out as it went dead
I love those folks, and say that in every order--but......
I found a new place called i1800coolparts
but their brake switch arrived to day and did not fit

lets see a pic of the switch. i had a few brake light switches go out on my harleys and i replaced them with switches from an auto parts store. $10 auto parts store verses $30 or so for a harley switch. same switch, different box is all it amounts to.

i see now they're mechanical switches, the HD switches i speak of are screwed into the rear master cylinders and are hydraulic. google any numbers that are on them and brake light switch.

Terra Nuvo, I found you! It is good to hear from you again. I hope all is well. I was wondering what had happened to you. I don't post on most of the scooter forums anymore after some nastiness several months ago.(turtle) I wonder if a certain red head is on this forum as well hmm

have you tried Parts for scooters?
Can you fill us in a little more, exactly where is it located on the scooter. Pictures would be nice of your actual parts and location.

thanks baggathese come left and right hand, this is a left, and it is upside down sorry not trying to make any one dizzy, i did not take picture please note the picture above is from 1800coolparts
SEE HOW THEY HAVE TURNED IT BACKWARDS
thats so you can not see the switch does not have a square cut over the screw hole, theirs will not fit like the one you see below from parts for scooters, very starnge, i have never seen a brake switch like the one above.
I had to cut a square over the screw hole to get it in, and "IN" is not a very good name for how moding this switch will allow it to go in and work.
I modd--ed 3 switches in 1 1/2 hours with a razor knife1800COOLPARTS IS HIDING THE FACT THEIR SWITCH WILL NOT FIT LIKE PARTS FOR SCOOTERS WILL.Attachments:

great but just exactly where does the thing mount on your scooter. The reason I keep asking is because I was trying to find one on other parts places and sometime you need to know the geographic location.

its the standard "Box Break Switch" scrappy sells as seen above
but scrappys blow in 3 weeks.
I have the 3 1500coolparts sold me "remodded" so i am fine for a while
but nobody think they can buy 1800cools box switch and just put it in,
theirs you have to cut a square into.
which is not easy, plus a great way to slice your hand.
