OK
let me get opinions please. im prob going to be doing a 10 month "state vacation" aka jail
i'm gonna keep my apt , for the kids, dont want them going to a shelter.
so i may keep "Chrissy" in her tent garage. so i need 3 opinions.
1. its prob. gonna be cold and wet this winter. normal Western Pa winter i'm thinking of putting her 'cover' on her. then using a 'double' tent. see the 'green" in this pic? its siding stuff, u know what its called? and also the tent. all 3 layers
or will that let moisture accumulate?
2. fill the gas tank and use a 1/2 bottle of sea foam? my gas tank is .9 of a gal. or leave it empty?
3. fill with brand new oil?

if at all possible, put your bike in someones house so it is there when you get out
also drain the tank and spray wd 40 in the empty tank and put lid on tight so it does not evaperate, which it does.
discconect the battery, put it in doors on a trckle charger, most big chargers even have a trickle setting, my big charger has a auto shut off that puts out 12 volts at 2 amps which shuts off at charge, but a trickle is better.
put bike up off back tire. prop up the front too if possible and let air down in both tires so there is neither weight pressor or air pressor on them and coat both with vegitble oil on a rag.
do fill with fresh snyth oil blend 50/50 with no boron in it, do that when you get out
do not cover bike all the way to the ground with tarp, water vapor from the ground will fill tarp and rust bike. so leave a air flow place around bottom
find some one to stay in at your home while you are away, in exchange for shelter, many schools have programs set up to screen house setters so look there.
And lastlty, never forget all the folks who love you out here are praying for your health and emotional well being..

I agree with what Terra says but........ since you will be gone. Can you just park it inside in perhaps the kitchen? I personally would not trust rhe tent for thatlong of a period left unsupervised.
Certainly draine the tank AND the Carb. WD 40 in the tank won't hurt

thanks tera but i dont want anyone in here with my kids. my 2 friends are going to take turns feeding them and checking on them every day. so ok maybe i wont put the 'cover' all the way to the ground. and of course i know about the battery. think its safe to let it on trickle charge for 10 months?? maybe ill have my buddy take it off trickle charge for a week and then put it back on for a week.
Chrissy is well chained up in the tent. and with my 2 friends stopping over every day that might be sufficient. and i do have a motion detector light pointed right at the tent
how would u suggest i take the weight off the tires?? a milk/pop container type thing under the floorboard?? and never heard of the veg oil but i'll try it
and i will drain the tank and carb and spray 'em
and no i wont forget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just be back on line when i get back.
now here i am making all these plans again, and 2 days before the "call list" my dip crap lawyer will get another continuance , which will be good but dang he waits till the last minute to tell me

yes as i said put it indoors some where
and put 2 cinder blocks under foot carpet,,,between battery and front column
between front tire and center stand, to hold it up. between ground and bike[
THE VEG OIL STOPS OXIDATION AND NEUTRILIZES ROAD SALTS /b]GET SOMEBODY TO HELP YOU LEFT IT UP ON CINDER BLOCKSAttachments:
