you are going to want to pull that tank and get all the crap from the float out before any of it gets into the carb or the petcock pluging it up

Will definately try the 5g rollers. As far as the tank float it was basically split in 2 so i tried to zip tie it together lol wasnt all falling apart but i will pull it out soon since it isnt doing any good like it is before it does fall apart

5g rollers seemed to help with the accel all around. Only thing i notice now that i have it running right is it feels like something is rubbing or like it has a knot on the tire and the RPM gauge doesnt work

It is easy enough to check the tire by just spinning the wheel and looking for it being out of round.

Yea will probably just take the wheels off and check the bearings etc later today. I am going to take the exhaust off and check for any restrictions as well. Probably should take a look at the plug now that i have put a few miles on her. One thing is for sure this thing barely uses any gas at all Want everything to be right before i try to sell it

I would not worry about taking the exhaust off. If it is restricted it will top out at about 30. I think the more common restriction is a rev limter in the cdi. If it will go to 7500 or 8000 rpms you are Ok. If it revs that high and you still only go 30 mph then check the exhaust. Top speed should be 40 - 45 on level grown on a well performing 50.

It only does 30 mph and i dont think the CDI has the restriction since from what i have read it is usually a pinkish wire and the CDI 4 pin part has only 3 wires instead of 4. I may drill this jet i found in my parts bin out to a 90 and see if it gains a little more as far as top speed. I would be completely satisfied with 40mph top. Does the iridium spark plugs really help any?

Can anyone identify this washer looking piece? I had noticed a noise in my exhaust and this is what i shook out of it when i took it off. Where the exhaust bolts onto the block it looked like the ears where bent sorta, the surface of the flange was definately not flat across. Also i am pretty sure the CDI does not have a rev limiter cause I took the CDI off my xr80 dirtbike and still 30mph may try the 1 off the xr100. I am gonna take it to my uncle's shop and have him check the timing with a light to see if that is off a little I was reading that they can be off from the factory which would retard the timing and lose some performance Attachments:

That washer could be a restrictor

yep i would guess restricter too otherwise if it came out of the pipe you would have a destroyed engine already or at least on heck of a knock are there any signs of tack welds on the washer or the header pipe

no welds on the header or on the washer i found lol that is why i asked if anybody could identify cause I cant figure for the life of me where it came from or what it is for lol i couldnt get the bolts loose from the pipe where it attaches to the chamber to have a look in there

Anyone know how to get the tachometer to work? It rained cats and dogs so i am gonna see if i can get that to work while i wait for the sun to dry up some of this water before i take the Eve out for a spin I have been neglecting her lately the tachs i have seen either have a cable that goes into the motor with a gear sorta like the speedo or a wire attached to the coil

It will have a wire, I don't think any of the Chinese scooters use a mechanical tach. I just don't know where it runs to and I have not seen a wiring diagram that includes a tach in it.

I havent been able to find anything about how to fix it or where it even runs too. I just looked at it for a minute and looks like 3 wires so I imagine it runs to the coil but that means I will have to take the panels off to check it out

The coil only has two wires going to it and you can get to those by just taking the bucket out under the seat.
