Can some one help me, i recently bought a 2007 jonway scooter that eveytime i turn the ignition switch it blows the fuse, took all the covers off and i notice that some green cables that are suppose to be ground have power i do not know if its the ignition switch or something else can someone help me thanks

You are right. Green noramlly means it is a ground wire. It is possible the former owner did some custome wiring. You should check for spliced wires. There is some wiring diagrams in the help area if you need a reference. I am on my phone or I would put a link here for you.

Thanks i think i found the short, they had a black cable that i think is for accesories connected to one of the green cables.now it turns on , but i see that it does not stays on by itself i have to accelerate it so it does not turn off, any clues what it can be ?

Have not checked yet how do i check it? With a multimeter with the engine on?

You can just use a multimeter and see how many volts it has while running for a general idea.

What should the votage value be? Right now i am at work but tomorrow i will check, do you think something got fried with the short, because use more than 20 fuses triying to find the short

its a 12 volt batter so 12 to 13.5 volts

Is this a 50cc? Just asking because they have fairly weak charging systems. But running you need to get at least 12 volts.

Another thought. Does the idle need adjusting? Set it up to just under where the rear wheel moves.

follow the throttle cable to the carb. You should be able to see a adjusting screw on the bracket it goes to.
