All I know is the price of gas just keeps going up here on the left coast of America.

I have the scooters and Kawasaki. The wife has the Rebel and the boys have the Cub clones. All we need is for the weather to warm up and the snow to disappear and we'll cut down on gas consumption by a ton. This time the people selling Chinese rolling stock should have their act together and be able to do a better job than in 2008. Hopefully outfits like Scooter Depot won't muck up everybody Else's reputation.

The price of regular is starting to push $3.50 a gallon around here. Unfortunately the temperatures are still in the 20s and there's snow everywhere. Come on Spring.

Well, I'm retired and the wife only drives 1.5 miles to work. I have the scout to run errands with.

I only wish I was retired. By next fall everybody in the family will be driving and if the price of gas doesn't drop we'll be shelling out a bundle. As it is I'm spending $55.00 to fill up my car every 300 miles. If I could use the scooter that would drop to about $16.00

I'm thinking about trying to find another little 4T to save some gas. I know the cost of the scoot doesn't really justify it, but I'm gonna be spending money on scoots anyway as long as I can. The big 100ish cc 2Ts are getting 40MPG, need premium pump, and have to have expensive synthetic oil mixed in. It costs me more to ride than my buds on sportbikes, as far as fuel is concerned. Even with an 80cc kit and modded to rev high most of the time, I got 65MPG out of my little 4T, 70MPG with a more conservative tune. Ran it on Rotella that was only around $3 per oil change. Much cheaper to operate. Of course remember with all of my mileages, if they seem low it's because I ride hard and I'm fat. lol

The last time I checked Brent my Cub clones were getting over 120 mpg. Of course I'm only doing 35 mph on them but to stick it to the oil companies I can take my time. Even the 150 gets 70 mpg at 40 to 45 mph. It's not flying but it gets me there. It's worlds better than the 20 mpg the minivan gets on a good day.

I have a Kymco Filly that I would let go of GT. I was thinking of modifying it, but I think I'll do a 150 instead. It only has 236 klics on it. If you can wait till May I'll even swing by the house on the way home from the Twist N Gone. <Let the smack talk commence> after winning. LOL RD

I've wanted a scoot or ped with the Honda/pitbike style engine for a long time. When I had midbikes with them, I never checked the mileage. I knew it wasn't bad though. Only problem there is that it probably wouldn't stay a 50 for long at all. 150-160cc version of that motor with the right sprockets and my 2Ts might have some competition. Wonder if the cops would notice me shifting? lol That's a really cool offer RD. We'll have to see. I had forgotten about the Cub clones. I kinda think it would come down to one of those or a dirt cheap GY6. Preferably a dirt cheap Cub clone. lol Unless I come across a steal, it'll be a bit though.

No worries. I'll find a use for it or sell it this Spring. Oh, and your welcome. There's always the GY6 Razor project to fall back on if all else fails.
