Need advice about 50cc big bore kits

So, I'm planning on finally caving in and putting a big bore kit on my 50cc. While I know very well how the swap goes...I had a question. I don't want to really buy the new very top end, the head part with the rocker arms and stuff. Could I put the new cylinder and piston and stuff in, but reuse the stock head? As in, just the part with the arms and cam and whatnot?
