Will it be just a bolt on if the valves are already installed presumably properly?
I am thinking of just replacing my head and carb till next year AFTER I take the motorcycle safety course and get my endorsement.
Just not sure if I can just pull it and put the other one without issues.

You will need to have timing marks lined up properly, it has an overhead cam so that has a chain that also needs to be properly placed.
Don't forget to get a new head gasket. Have you got a motor manual?

Do as admin said make sure to clean gasket surfaces real well from the old gasket and when tightening the head do a diagonal sequence like you would lug nuts on a car.
