This Scooter is brand new, have had it about 2 1/2 months. Have not had time until now to work on it. Wife had major knee replacement surgery. My problem I think is simple for all great mechanics. I can start it, but I have use starting fluid and then it stops. Real puzzled. Would appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks so much, in advance.

Is fuel getting to the carb?
A 250 likely has an electric fuel pump, check the wires to it. Check and see of fuel 8s going through the fuel line as well.

I will try to check the fuel to the EFI. Thanks for your response. The rest of the story; when I first got the Scooter I inadvertently had the battery terminals and the regulator burnt up. I did replace it but its not an exact match. I have a new one on back order from BMS.

Could it be the regulator? I recently replaced it but was not an exact match.

I wouldn't think so. Perhaps if it were hooked up backwards.
Have you ruled out a bad fuel pump, clogged fuel lines, bad petcock?

No, haven't ruled out anything. I could only find one 15 amp fuse, which is also troubling! It seems like there should be more fuses. Attachments:

Start checking things out and taking possibilities off the list.

Still won't start! Not getting fuel to fuel filter?

Does it have a vacuum shut off or manual try by passing it with a hose see if you get fuel. If not just blow some air back ways see if it's blocked up with crud.

No vacuum shutoff, its fuel injected. It will putter if I use starting fluid. I'm going to double check all my lines tomorrow a.m.. Thanks!

Take the fuel pump loose and hook a hose up to it in a can of gas and see if it squirting out gas when power is applied, do it outside and be careful to not start a fire.

Yeah no shut off on efi
First check for voltage at the fuel pump if you have 12.5 volts or better at the pump then you need to start looking at a bad pump pluged line pluged injector or bad injector
