need help want to know where this part goes im new scooters

Hello guys.
I'm new to this site and im doing a scooter 50cc yiying up as a project and i would like to know what this part is and where it goes. plus i need some help where all the black pipes go to each location from the engine. i appreciate the help.

Welcome to the forum.

Looks like it is a vacuum assist petcock to me, you would normally see it either in the fuel line someplace or at the bottom of the fuel tank. This thing acts like a shut off valve, when the motor stops it closes, after it is started the vacuum opens it to let gas flow.

regarding the "black pipes" what kind of scooter is it and are they pipes or hoses, can you post photos?

I would send that it's a petcock it should have another hose that runs off a vacuum port on the carb intake or enigine

OK cool thanks guys I will have a look under the engine today ect, and I will send you more photos of the pipes or a decent photo give you an idea what I'm doing.as for the make of the bike its a yiying yy50qt-6.the scooter just needs electrics battery fitted and all the hoses put together then should be ready my first as a scooter rider and I'm excited get it going.

i done the pipes at the back now all sorted just wanted to know what is this as im starting on electrics now thanks for help again guys much appreciated

Just seeing the plug makes it difficult to give a solid opinion as to what plugs into it.

Usually you will not find a large number of those plugs, probably only one. I would look around the area it wants to naturally fall into for something it could plug into, if nothing is in the area you may have to just look to where it can go to for the female plug for it and hope to find it.
