Hi everyone,
I have been scouring the internet for days now to find any information on this machine, alas to no avail! I can find plenty of information on the 50cc version, just not the one that I have.
Anyway, I have recently bought myself a Sym Jet Euro X 100cc. I am wondering if these are restricted? If so, what are the restrictions? What power/top end should I expect restricted and derestricted?
The bike was very cheap and is really tatty. I'm not looking at spending much on it, just need it as a run around for a few months.
If anyone can shed some light on this bike for me, or point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance!

Anything over 50cc in size is not usually restricted. Restrictions were done to keep the 49cc scooters legal in the under 30mph crowd that mopeds are lumped into. They often times do not even require license plates because of the low speeds. A 100cc 2 stroke would hardley be in a low speed class, it should go pretty fast in stock form.

This might be too late a reply on the thread, for info purposes: I've owned 3 of these scooters back in the Phils., a Sym Jet 100, a Sym Jet 100 Alpha and a Sym Jet Euro X. And yes, they do have restrictions on the variator and the airbox. Removal of the restrictions are pretty straight forward, variator, remove the wedding band. Airbox restriction, matter of opening up the airbox and removing the square plastic hose on the inlet of the airbox.
Hope this helps.
