Lately my scoot (tank touring 250de 08) has been dying when at low idle and I tap the brakes. Also having a really hard time starting. Since you have to hold the brake to start it, I feel like the brake is somehow taking power from the system causing it to die and not restart. When I do try and start, it's almost like it starts when I let off the lever rather than it just firing normal. Oh, and when I flick on some aux lights I installed, it has no effect on start or run. Anybody have any experience with this? Battery is brand new and fully charged!

Tore into it tonight. With the plug out but still hooked to the coil, I get no spark until I let off the brake lever. I can't really tell if the voltage to the cool is low with the lever pulled in. I don't have enough arms. Help!!!!

strange that the CDI would give out when the brakes are applied.

Yeah I think it just wasn't controlling voltage to the coil properly. Running good now. All I need to do is find some new wheels for it. That has been quite a challenge.
