I have a New 300cc Tornado with less then 300 miles on it and the rear deck is cracking by the mounting screws. Does anyone have a idea how to stop this from getting worse? I have tried the bigger washer setup and thick undercoat but is has not slowed it down. I was going to put diamond plate strips on but I have rubber grommets that go through the deck. When you take the grommet out there is a bigger hole then the screw. I can't put the plate over the rubber grommet because then it does not fit flush. I have thought about using Dyna Mat which is stuck on the inside of the cars quarter panals so they don't vibirate so bad with the bass. It's like a thick tar paper and fly paper. Any other ideas out there would help, Thanks

I've seen people drill holes at the ends of a crack to try and stop them from extending. The theory being that if you break the line of the crack it won't continue. You could try that and then cover it with the diamond plate. You might consider coating a plate to go on the bottom with JB Weld or some epoxy to make it more stable.

yes a small hole at the end of the crack normaly works real good you coul reinforce the back side with some epoxy or you could v it out without going all the way thru and plastic weld it
