Terrilee,
I am not totally sure what ur saying / asking me there..
I finalized payment on Feb 8th via Paypal so I would have that extra security of 45 days to dispute and withdraw my payment if need be. That was done strictly to provide a semi-safe method of payment its a rather large sum of money to send to a company across the united states LOL...
So from Feb 8th to today is only 9 days out of the 45 day limit I have via paypal to recall payment should a issue arise. I am not worried about that I am sure I would have the bike here before 45 days are up lol....
They are indeed doing a FREE PDI promotion on a great deal of their units. However I did not order any sort of PDI nor did I order because of their promotion. I am however happy to hear they are attempting to be thorough in their PDI process.
Like I told their ware house guy Josh when I spoke on the phone to him. I am perfectly fine with being in line to have my unit checked and a thorough pdi being done. I just wanted to know whats happening and why I was told several different shipping dates that were not met.
I think their people in the main office go by the date the order was finalized when quoting shipping times instead of going by the work load in the ware house at the time of a customers order.
I could design and build a full featured system to manage their orders and customer database that would streamline their entire operation LOL
Perhaps I should offer my own services to them LOL build them a better shopping system and even tie it directly to their most common LTL shipping provider LOL...
Either way I am back in the comfort zone with them and will relax while waiting for them to ship it

I know they say they are doing a PDI, I wold still do a few things when you get it, like put real oil in it, make sure it has good hoses, if it has tubeless tires put American valve stems in the wheels, check connections and nuts and bolts, adjust the chain.

oh for sure.. I read something a bit back about these things being shipped with a thin break in oil is it break in oil or just a crappy cheap thin oil ...
I am fairly good at pdi's I like to do basics on arrival .. plug, motor oil, gear oil, coolant if applicable and tranny fluid if applicable
nuts, bolts and electrical connections
my first china scoot had one major issue that crept up twice and it was a electrical connector on the ignition coil LOL.. wiggled loose both times
I do need a good source of information on break in for a 250cc engine ... what do u guys generally do for break ins.. on the 50cc engines I kept varied rpms and frequent oil changes during first 1000 miles
first change at 100 miles, second at 300, third at 500 then 4th at 800 then 5th at 1000
what oil do u guys recommend using. I use 10w-30 in 50cc scooters for break in and full time use
anyways any information is welcome

i think, didnt go back and read, but what i was saying isto just keep a eye on the days so u dont go over that 45 day limit
u got it right ;D on what u wanna do for breakin. varied throttle is the best but do make sure there r times u ALMOST 3/4 WOT not WOT but damn close. lol id do that when u get closer to over 500 miles to put 'more' stress on rings etc., so they get real hot & seat
u may be changing the oil a lil to much. BUt wth its cheap. & i dont think it will hurt. yea 10w30 is fine , if it starts getting hot { ambient temps} u may wanna go to 10w40 but by then u might be ready for synthetic but ask the others about Syn for 250's i have a 150
oh are u water cooled then change that crap out also. use good antifreeze, not w/e that crap they use in china

I have not done the oil for a long time on the main scooter we use here and it turns out I am using 10-40 on it. So i know it was 10-40 Valvoline I am using and have been using since break in. With oil changes taking so little on a 50cc scooter I changed it often because I could easily afford to and I wanted to be double sure any loose metal particles were flushed out. I even flushed some clean oil through during each change to make sure it was cleaned out LOL as for break in period .. ya thats pretty much how I do it. Varied rpms and frequent oil changes until I hit about 1000 miles then I ride normally I live in a city so my rpms are always gonna vary pretty well driving around town. 45 mph here, 35 there, then 25 etc.. Occasionally get out on a back road and open it up for some higher speeds. The bike I ordered is not water cooled though I just put that in as an example. I try to be very thorough on my PDI's Any more information or tips keep em coming

Don't smile while riding, unless you have a face shield, or like the taste of flying insects.

ya ive taken june bugs to the eye before LMAO... One time I rode through a swarm of something... did not look really like bee's but I got splattered like being hit with a .22 bullet just not enough to puncture the skin
like when ur running about 55 and drive right into one of those bright and sunny rain spots... Had that one happen to .. Running down hill on a very long stretch of road bright and sunny outside im wearing shorts and a t-shirt I had just opened it up and got to about 55mph and BAM like 1000 knives jabbing me.. I drove right into rain with no warning at all clear day in summer time LOL.. Looking at the road once I stopped u could see the color difference in the road and tell exactly where the rain started and stopped because the line between dry and wet road was perfectly marked

I had just a fly in the eye once and that was bad enough, can't imagine a June bug in the eye.

it swelled up bad right under my eye but did not look like I had a black eye just enough of a hit to puff it up.. I think it lived too because when I parked the bike it was on my jacket so i put it on one of those yellow parking lot posts and it started walking around LOL
I miss those days - this was when I was a kid -- riding around in this little town I grew up in..

Its the pitts playing the waiting game, I'm not too good at it myself.

i never was much for the waiting game especially when its a large deal of money involved..
but if all goes smooth after it arrives I will be damned happy. I did not get the shipping email today like I was told on the phone when I called. But the lady knew my order the second I told her my name because she said she saw it in the paperwork when it shipped. She said the guy is so backed up that emails are taking a while..
I think they need to automate their setup a bit more. LOL
