She was worth the wait. We went up and got her in Wisconsin over the weekend. (Thank you Rapid Jim. You're the MAN!!) Got a U-Haul and trailered her back to SW Ohio. Today was only the second time I've EVER ridden a scooter! Riding around my neighborhood....25 mph sure did seem fast! LOL But I needed to take her to a mechanic to see about some vibration issues and some unusual movement in the rear axle. Got in my practice, roomie road behind me on her Vulcan 750. Rode the 2 1/2 miles in traffic to the mechanic. I got to feeling pretty confident in no time at all. Most of the problems were due to the chain being way too tight (the roomie had diagnosed it correctly). The mechanic was happy to drop what he was doing to have a crack at my brand new Compeller. He did a great job, spent some time on it....rode her a bit...up to 55mph he said! Only charged me $20 for the adjustment!! There's some rear-end vibration which seems to be due to very thin faring below the taillight. I think it is a design flaw but if it isn't a mechanical issue, I guess I'll learn to live with it! Got up to 36mph coming home...speed limit is 35. Suddenly 25 felt slow!! What a blast! I can hardly wait to ride tomorrow! MarciaG ;D

Great looking rig you got there! Wow it looks like a monster of a machine with you sitting on it. If there is a vibration, you really need to see about getting it re-enforced somehow. Vibrations will cause a crack to develop and then a break to occur.

Reinforced...somehow....I guess I will have to ask around because I don't know how I would go about doing that! Weather is great....nice day for a ride, me thinks! Marcia G

possibly an extra brace installed to firm it up, not seeing it or having one in front of me, it is hard to tell you what to do.

The more I look at this the more it reminds me of the Morphous and I've secretly admired the Morphous, I also like the really big a.. wheels on the back.

I have heard that in fact, she was modeled after the Morphous! The big wheels are actually automobile tires as opposed to the front tire which is a motorcycle tire. I'm told those automobile tires make her more comfortable, stable and also add about 10mph over the Ice Bear Magnum! Marcia

I thought I would show you my latest photo of my trike, "Maya." She is all decked out now with new saddle bags! I also added reflective stripes on the fenders above the wheels. I'm REALLY enjoying my new ride...we just hit our first 100 miles yesterday! Marcia

Looking good, but I think it needs a keg on the rear end

Looking good, but I think it needs a keg on the rear end A keg....a tag sale....why, you guys are just full of.....Great suggestions! I wouldn't put a keg on THAT rear fairing. I LOVE my trike but the design of the rear faring BLOWS! It vibrates badly (broke off 2 license plate frames before we drilled 2 extra holes to add 2 more screws). AND, there is a crack in the faring to the right of the left tire. I have a wonderful mechanic who has suggested welding a brace that will go under the faring horizontally between the two rear tires...I guess that's my next move. I am not happy with this issue...sigh. Marcia

I think you need to let your mechanic have at doing the reinforcement mod. Think about doing both sides for good luck. Vibrations really need to be controlled or things will start falling off as you go down the road.
