Does anybody have experience or know about these guys? They seem to be a drop shipper out of Las Vegas, and have a Santee California address too. www.countyimports.com/home

They used to have a terrible reputation. Somebody over on the other site just ordered a 250cc with a CF Moto engine. I'm waiting to see how it works out. I'm skeptical. They used to be a "take the money and run" type of place.

And as proof that somethings never change:
The scooter arrived today... damaged. Shipping company was a little rough with my new scooter. I've just submitted my shipping damage claim with County Imports (on the website). One thing that made me a bit nervous is that I was unable to get anyone on the phone when I called. First I tried connecting to the shipping claims department, but it went to voicemail and the voicemail box was full... so I couldn't leave a message. I also tried calling the sales department but just got put on hold for 5 minutes before I hung up.
Damage included: Rear left body panel is gouged straight through the paint in one spot and and a big mottled scrape. The Tail Light glass is gouged out and scratched horribly. The panel just beneath the rear tail light is scraped/gouged. Left rear panel has some scratches (not as as bad as the right) Left handle bar cap is scraped down to the metal. Trunk Plate (passenger grips) is scratched down to the paint on the back. Windshield has a chip and numerous clouding problems.
I'm still waiting to hear from these guys. Haven't been able to get anyone on the phone from there so far. Not looking good for County Imports on the "customer service" side of things so far. Maybe things will turn around soon though.
Typical of County Imports. They have his money and he won't get a free part to save his life. As I said they now have his phone number on caller ID and will avoid him like the plague.

I saw the post over there and held my tongue. The guy had already bought it because he didn't think he could trust another online company. I have not been back over there to see this post.

It won't end well. They used to have a shop in California that closed and now they're dropshippers. He paid too much for the scooter as it was. He could have bought a Linhai engined version elsewhere for less. Instead he bought this CF Moto 244cc scoot and is now suffering like all their past victims.

Update: The party over on the other site finally got word about his damages. County Imports and the trucking company are playing the paperwork game. As soon as all the T's are crossed and I's dotted he's supposed to get replacements for his damaged parts. Of course the trucking company says it could take up to thirty days for the paperwork to be processed.
