I just pick up a couple of pair of riding jeans. I own a set of leathers and a set of summer mesh textile motorcycle outfits. Now I wear the jackets when I ride, but the pants are cut for the crouched position. They really aren't very comfortable on a scooter. So I went to my favorite jean company, Diamond Gusset in N. Georgia, to pick up a pair of these. www.gussetjeans.com/defender_inside_out/They are kind of a cross between Painters jeans and Regular cut. Nice heavy denim with Kevlar sewn into the hips, seat, and knees. No armor. They have regular style pockets, with a watch pocket in the left one and a long thin painter one below the right. The painter one has a Velcro closure and so do the cuffs. You can cinch them around your boots if you like. There's also a d-ring sewn onto the waistband. For you chain drive wallet folks. I'm liking them a lot. Made in the good ole USA. Even the parts. The Zipper use to come from the Nashville Zipper Company. They are a bit pricey. 115 bucks. But compared to a skin graft it's pocket change. And I'm keeping the good folks of N Georgia employed. My Grandma was from Rome, GA. Good folks down there. Salt of the Earth and the backbone of the country. So if your thinking about it, givem a look see. RD
