geely 2 stroke derestriction

ok do any of you guys know how they restrict the geely 2 strokes i got a guy who wants on derestricted
i will look for the washer in the head pipe and the wedding band but does any one know if they have a carb or cdi restriction on them

you and Brent are the go to guys for 2 t as far as I'm concerned, I've never even seen a Geely.

i know the newer kymcos have restricted cdis (belive it or not the one to replace it with is a gy6 150 unit)but i havent ever worked on a geely this one will proably be the first one i have seen too
i was hoping some one on here had one(gs motor works sells geely scoots now geely usa is done and over with)

I've only been around one Geely and never worked on it. It did about 35MPH and the owner was fine with that.

i looked over at that yahoo group
i didnt join as i cant remeber my yahoo password
but from what i got the chain drive units there isnt much you can do to them
and thats what this one is the 50cc chain drive vertical engine

Oh, yeah. The best upgrade for a chain drive scoot is a new scoot IMO. I'm sure you could alter port durations and/or enlarge ports and set the squish tight and build a custom tuned pipe (no aftermarket parts) and stuff like that but it really wouldn't be worth it and it still may not do what you want because you can't alter the transmission to counteract a loss of torque from a pipe or from longer durations and stuff like that.
