You got me, looks like it came out of the 50's and it could be a Honda but I have serious doubts that it is.

i dont think its a honda i dont remember any of theres that had leg sheilds that had floor boards the rear fender area isnt right for anything i can remember for honda and the front fender doesnt make sense for the 50 thru 70s i can think of who had that square of a fender plus the exhaust is on the wrong side for most hondas of the time

Ya, I really doubt it is a Honda too, I did own a mid 60's honda that had the exhaust on that side ( I think) but nothing else looked like that one. There at one time was a lot of different scooter makers in Europe and Asia that might have made this.
The motor does not look like any Honda one I've seen.

Wow, I actually REMEMBER seeing these in the fifties/sixties, BUT my old memory can't conjure up what they were! (Getting old sucks...). LOL!
About the time America began to "meet the nicest people on a Honda" (remember that?) Europe began to import some "Franken-mix" scooter/motorbike thingies like this. Small wire wheels, scooter-like leg-shields and floorboards, goofy cycle gas tank, etc. Poor little bikes didn't know WHAT they were supposed to be.
As a kid, I never did figure out just WHERE you'd BUY one! You'd see ads for them in "Boy's Life" or "Popular Mechanix" touting "BOYS! Impress your pals with this Powerful and Sporty European Motorcycle"... Sold mail-order. Some magazine promos gave them away to kids who sold astronomical numbers of subscriptions. But, I never saw one in a vehicle dealership. I did see similar ones in Sears & Roebuck and Montgomery Ward stores and catalogs though. Some of these wonders used STRANGE engines... Usually 2-strokes, some with TWO cylinders and pistons firing in ONE combustion chamber... Go figger... The ONLY people I ever saw riding them were middle-aged European immigrants who must have found them to be a "touch of home".
My first guess is that is't made by JAWA, or maybe PUCH, but it could be from many makers. Definitely looks German, OR from one of the former communist block nations. The whole thing looks too European to be Japanese, but back then, Asian makers were copying existing designs. But I'll bet it's not a Honda.
It doesn't really matter, but it's fun to see this old stuff anyway! Even as a young kid, this sort of design didn't exactly get my hormones flowing... LOL! Give 14-year-old me a Cushman, a Whizzer or a Schwinn, or even a good pair of P.F. Flyers and clean socks...
