Well, you have listed the most common ways to make it go faster. One thing that can potentially really help is to port and polish the head. This is best done by an expert, but can be done by a beginner too, you just probably won't get results as good as somebody that knows what they are doing and there is the possibility of ruining the head, they are not that expensive to replace though.
If you are considering a port and polish, you might want to get ahold of Kliff and have him do it for you.
If you want to go the big bore kit (72cc), rollers, unifilter, jet, exhaust route, you can toss the port and polish in there too.
Contact Jeremy for the big bore kit, and Kliff for the headwork
Just putting larger jets in alone, may help a little it depends on if you are running a little lean or not, you can also advance your timing a little and it may help too.
One more thing is, load, if you are overweight, get skinny and it will help the scooter move better too.

OK, if you change the head, and a big bore kit, those things can /will change the amount of air flow and if you can not change the jet you very well may have a lean air/fuel mixture and cause a burn valve down the road. Even just putting a uni filter on can cause that.

All the things that Rebel speaks of work. As long as your engine is running well, I would upgrade the CV Transmission first. For the money, I think that changing the roller weights and getting a better variator is the best start. Most after market variators are larger in diameter than the stock ones. A larger front pulley will make for a higher stop speed and lighter weights make for quicker acceleration. Unfortunately a good variator is pricey. Prodigy's aren't real high and neither are Velocita. Dr. Pulley and NCY are a bit more. I've heard good things about Prodigy, but have no personal experience with them. I have with NCY and Dr. Pulley.

Agreed, variator tuning can help, and the aftermarket variators that are larger than a stock one does change the final drive gear ratios, you need the right size belt for it too.

I like the Dr Pulley flat side ones. I really have no proof they are one bit better than a well made set of roller weights. I just like the concept . Have a look and see what you think. www.unionmaterial.com/rollerweight6.htmI would suggest tuning the pilot jet first, slow speed jet. RD

I think the Dr Pulley weights are generally considered superior.

Me too. The reasoning behind them look sound, I've just never bothered testing it to see Rebel. So I didn't want to say, "Well, yeah their better". Unlike other times ROFL.
