i have mounted an aircraft cht on my stella to keep track of her temp now that i have a pipe and bigger carb
i am looking at adding an egt for real time info for carb tuning i would like an aircraft one as they are great units and vibration resistant in most cases
so is any one running an egt or using one for carb tuning if so let me know what you are running and where you got it from
i got my cht on ebay from flyparts guy he is great to deal with and when the first one he sent me only lasted 15 minutes he sent me another no questions asked the guages he is selling are surplus guages from the 90s

well i have managed to find some one who has a set up on a stella well he has the parts he hasnt installed as he is not sure if he wants to drill a hole in a 400 buck pipe guage well except i will get a round one probe the advantage of this set up is it takes no power at all unless you want to run backlights i know guys who run simular set ups on other bikes but just dont think the digtial deal would look right on my stella

nope you have to drill a small hole about 4 inches from the piston and place it there just like a fire you want to measure the temp where its going to be the hotest

I wondered, but re-read your post and it is the guy you found that does not want to drill a hole, not you.
