For the last week or two I have been staying away from that other place. I've found I'm much happier. I logged in there today to post in the staff forum that I was placing myself on Leave of absence. So if you begin to notice I'm not posting, it is because, I'm not interested in being there at this point in my life. I did not drop my membership or give the moderatorship away, I'm just not using them.

I don't blame you for doing this, I can well understand why but your's is a voice of reason and you will be missed by the many people who post regularly and the ones who don't . Here's hoping it's a short leave of absence. Dan.

What the problem is, is that a lot of the people that are there now are ones that are mostly after Lee leaving. Aaron got fed up with it first, we were there from the beginning of that forum, the people there now do not have any idea that we were the ones that really built that forum, and have no gratitude or respect for what we did to make it. I tried to drag Lee back to get him to be the figure authority, hoping things would normalize somewhat. It did not happen.
Never say never again, but I will say, not for a while.
But thanks for your kind words.

So if you begin to notice I'm not posting, it is because, I'm not interested in being there at this point in my life. I did not drop my membership or give the moderatorship away, I'm just not using them. I hear you Doug. Life is so much simpler for me, just not even trying to help over there. I cruised though there yesterday, saw all kinds of bogus advice given, other advice, condensed versions of what others had done, whether it was right or wrong. I'd be in SOOOOOO much trouble, it wouldn't be worth it. I just chill and tinker in the Hobby Shop, on Dad's PTV, port a head or so as they come in, just prepped that GY6 shorty for Dad's PTV yesterday....well the top end, still got the carb and intake extension to do.... answer a question or 2 here, when asked via PM.... Life is good, If I ain't in the Hobby Shop, I'll be in the basement, if not there, around the net, doing new stuff, making new freinds....all still gearheads though. BBut I'll be damned if I ever get as involved as I did on the DAWGs trying to help at the drop of a hat. Just doing my thing, my way, and basicly speaking when spoken too... Do what you gotta do, and enjoy yourself a while, you deserve a huge effin' cudo for all you've done...you earned a rest

Thanks,
I didn't think anybody would be mad at me, here or there. I just wanted to let you all know that I decided to not be there. I may just pop in to look, but not to participate.

Life's way too short to let those little things drag you down Rebel. You do what you need to. You and Lee built SD into a great thing and we Scooter folks appreciate it. Go ahead and rest on your laurels.

Well, I'm not saying that I know all about scooters and I will always let a person that knows more than me to take over on advice, but group attitude is something I have problems with.

I don't show up there much either. I still like SD, but I quit logging into the staff section or doing much of anything there some time ago. Some of the trivial BS and drama that people start with each other gets on my nerves and I find it sad that staff intervention is needed so much... and often for folks twice my age. I've never enjoyed a bunch of drama and childish games. I quit school because they had recess . I'm all for a good time etc..., but you guys know what I'm talking about.

I left there almost a month ago. Too much drama for me. I tried to help when I could, but was treated like I didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about. I didn't care for being berated, when I knew what I was doing. It's much more laid back here, and that's fine with me.
