well, since a friend busted BJ's rear rack mount (found nuts were cheply welded to plate) i rebuilt it and replaced the blue crate with a nicer looing yellow one. redid the rear tail lights also. also added a 50w amp, speakers and a mp3 player . heres a pic.

is that actually a milk crate or did you find that type of crate for sale somewhere. Years ago Target carried some crates very similar to milk crates, I have not seen them for a long time.

Heya Trx1. Will the charging system support that wicked stereo? Very nice, I'd say. Fire up "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf going down the road.

Depends, do you want to keep it going?
Tearing it down to replace the crank bearings is a big job for one of these. If you want to fix it and are going to tear it down, this would be the time to consider whatever mods you might have thought about doing. Or you can just get a new set of bearings if it is not too late for that. the other option and I don't see where you said just what kind of scooter this is, if it is a GY6 you can buy a complete replacement motor for it for around a couple hundred dollars.

What happened with the bearing?
That Craig amp brought back memories. Back in the early seventies, when I was a kid, Craig was one of the best stereos systems, eight tracks, you could get for your car.
