I cannot wait for it to get nice outside!
The guys got the scoot together last night, took about 5 hours to do the PDI and get it all together. I kept telling Neighbor Bill it could wait till Saturday or Sunday. But he kept saying, "You can't leave something new and fun waiting!" My oldest son Shane helped him out. NaTasha (my 9 year old) and I sat around and watched. We also ran got the new fuel lines, and other neccesities.
You all will get a laugh out of this..... in the process of getting it together we were all standing around trying to figure out how to open the seat up to get to the *stuff* that was stashed inside. No joke......... the guys looked at that thing for 30 minutes before they made me call Steve at GS to find out how to open it. I couldn't quit laughing it was so funny! It was a DUH moment for sure. ;D
So anyway, the sun peeked out for just a bit this afternoon. It was still only 40 degees out. We live across the street from a nice park with a big parking area. So we scooted over there to get the feel of things. I made a couple of laps around the lot then ventured out on a side street and a trip around the block. Then NaTasha grabbed her helmet and we ventured a bit farther away. Well, I was finally starting to feel the wind chill, and was freezing, even with all my winter clothes. So we put it away for today. Hopefully tomorrow it will be a bit warmer. Even just sunny would be nice.
I took a bunch of pics last night of the guys working, and the assembled scoot. Will try to get them posted tomorrow.
I will dream tonight of sunny days and warm summer nights......
