Good morning everyone!
My name is Patti, and new to the scootering world. I will be ordering my scooter this week I think. I have it narrowed down to a couple of options. I will be getting a 150cc. Here in Sioux Falls it is quite hilly so I need the extra "umpfff" to get up them. There is so much to learn about these things. I am excited, but intimidated at the same time. I can handle tools well, grew up in a garage with my Father, and don't mind getting my hands dirty to maintain or fix something. I also have a very qualified mechanic for a neighbor who is always willing to help. He also has a sandblaster and a paint booth. You can bet that after the summer here I will be thinking about a paint job. I am not one to be ordinary, so I am sure we will come up with something "unique".
I am 50 something years old, have 2 grown sons in their 30's, one is a scooter rider the other a paramedic (nice combination huh?). I also recently adopted a 9 year old girl from foster care. I don't do the fostering thing anymore, I have my hands full with NaTasha. I am looking forward to scooting around town with her, with proper protection of course!
Well, off to read more of you forums and learn! learn! learn! Nice to meet you all!
Patti and NaTasha
p.s.... We need a scooter club in this town, I am going to work on that too!

Welcome! You will like scooting around town. Not much else like it. I bought a used 150 earlier this year, and am now in the process cleaning it up, and replacing a few things.

Ditto all the other welcomes. We are glad to have you here and will be willing to help you out with advice for problems you might need help with.
If you were able to work on your personal lawn mower, you will be able to handle most problems that come up with these scooters.
