I've been working on my 72cc scooter as of late, only 2 1/2 months till Twist I'm Gone. I've finished a few things, with a good bit left to do, and I was wondering if you folks had tried any of this? The wonders of Acetal. This stuff is tuffer than Nylon, it can be machined easier, and has better lubrication properties. I used it in my motor mount. It would work well in any type of mount. It comes in several different shapes. Round being my favorite. www.onlinemetals.com/alloycat.cfm?isplastic=yes&alloy=Acetal Here's a pic of Dr. Jeckel in his Lab-Bor-atory. For the love of God, who gave that man a torch!!!! RD

LMAO!....that last pic is killer!
I've used acetal on other projects before, and it is an excellent medium between the nylon....hard to deal with....., and a solid mount. I keep it on hand in the shop. If I don't use Bronze for a true solid mount, the acetal it is, otherwise, I use OEM mounts.
So, yeah, acetal is good stuff, machines easy, works great, lasts better than nylon. Great choice.

Lock up your shops! If you see a torch light in the night, just start running.
