My scoot is a Peace QMJ157, '08 but bought in a crate Sept. '09, brand new to scooters at the time. When I saw the drum rear I thought "oh crap, this is not going to do much". But surprisingly both the front and rear brakes will put the whoa on it. I don't think I could lock the wheels like on my MC, but it stops safely enough. Like Kuzikood said, if they're adjusted right, they're OK.Why mess with the hassle of changing to a disc unless the drum doesn't do squat? Discs are nicer looking though, that is without debate.

I've decided it's more of a hassle to change it than leave it as is. It works OK, but the disc is better looking.

I don't like something about my whole rear wheel. It vibrates at speed, not hopping, but almost feels like it. It gets worse when I try to tighten up my drum brakes. Are my brakes not in quite right?

Could be your drum is out of round. That would cause vibration.

Sunrider, now that you are taking the motor apart, it will make it a lot easier to check out the rear wheel.

True... I will make it a point to take it off and look at that thing... But, first, some videos... Any links?

You know the vibration could just be that it needs balancing too.
