nice thing about plastic is that you can cut it if you want to

The windshield has a compound curve at the top edge. Might be able to cut the bottom down and drill some new mounting holes. Lowering the plastic would also decrease the leverage effect a little also. And then again maybe not - I think the "DOT" sticker is on the bottom.

Well, the right switch housing started slipping so I had to reinforce that too. But since then no more slipping or movement, even in heavy winds. Visibility in dark and rain is decent as long as you keep it clean (like every other day - more when it rains) so I think I'll keep it. And the scooter attracts even more attention with the windshield ;D .

You might want to use it year around, it will help keep the bugs off you too, they also add top end speed usually. Really, IMPROVE speed, that's cool, I thought it would slow me down. Hey, I LIKE bugs, good protein you know. That is a gorgeous scoot Phil.

I know, you would think the windshield would increase the drag, but it actually improves it. I think it is because it deflects it around your body. I've heard this comment from more than one person.

That is a gorgeous scoot Phil. Thanks, Actually gmoney posted a pic of his red Carino and after I saw it, I ordered one the same day. I don't know that it adds anything but it doesn't slow it down any. Phil

I have the same set upon my scoot. It also broke my left switch housing. Also the screw in studs broke on both sides.
I'm thinking of having a new mounts made of flat steel that will go down though the instrument panel and curl around the handle bars underneath.
Also I would like to get some canvas to close the gap between the faring and the bottom of the windshield.
I did lose 5 MPH when I lost the windshield.

ya, I looked at that picture and said to myself that it looks like a break waiting to happen. but who knows, engineers do seem to think they know what they are doing.

When I got my scoot back from the shop I discovered the dolts had broken my turn signal switch so I have to replace that as well. I was thinking of drilling a hole thru the back housing into the handle bar and screwing in a big sheet metal screw.
