This is the post that got me all fired up a month or so back. totalruckus.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=34764 So I got off my but and got started...welll sorta. I bought an '01 KLR last Jan., with only 3300 miles on it, planning a turn around in about 6 months... well one thing led to another, and I've still got it, selling my other 2 KLR's at rock bottom prices. So I started last week, parting out the stuff I won't need. But my Swapster, will be a big 650cc Thumper, maybe bigger, but definitely will sport a reworked head, and who knows what else. I'm in, the guantlet has been thrown, and a "Web Home" for scooter Engine Swaps established. Now let's see how it goes. ;D Remember, even the NASRA has a class to race these things, even the Big Boyz.....it's called the exhibition Class, and run head's up.

Oh man I knew after seeing that build you were gonna take the plunge. So we know what the motor is, whats the chassis?

I really don't have a chassis yet, but I'm searching local classifieds, craiglist, etc. I really like the idea of a Ruckus Clone... saw one on Craiglist this past summer for 400.00, but wasn't in the market then.....dammmit!
Could always sacrifice MaddMaxx....... if I haven't got something by the 15th of Jan, may just sell the 59mm engine on Maxx( 0 miles) and do that... Anyone want a ported & polished, 59mm, A-9, OKO 28mm "D" slide.....yadayadayada.... for say.... $500.00...SHIPPED!

Well since you have a title to your big bike just buy the ruckus frame parts you need and use the plate off the KLR. You can find those parts here: www.Bikebandit.com

Could do that too....even got a Roketa frame neck, & front tube, with VIN, and matching clear GA title..... so It like I'm not without options. That's the Roketa BIG frame too....takes the bigger trees, with heavier bigger tubes & legs....larger disc.... Jeremy, you might have justr stirred the pot....
I need to order some DOM steel tubing anyway....... hmmmmmmm, lemme see if I can locate a front end, up around Atlanta...... or I could build a miniature springer.... maybe a Lambretta style trailing link, with some H-D Road King rear air shocks....
The possibilities are becoming endless......

I hate to butcher another new bike, besides I still have a brand new short 150, left over from the last one.
