Well, I had read from many people over at Scoot Dawg to keep an eye on the exhaust nuts where the header pipe attaches to the motor as they have a tendency to rattle off. I had not tightened them in a while and checked them this morning. One of them was completely gone and the other was quite loose. Found replacements at home depot for the missing side. 8mm nuts, washers, and lock washers. Just tightened up the factory nut on the side that did not fall off. Unforturnately the factory side takes a 12mm wrench and the home depot nuts take a 13mm wrench so I'll need to remember this for future maintenance. I didn't add a lock washer to the factory nut so it probably will disappear soon enough and then both sides will be home depot matches . Oddly enough I never did hear any kind of exhaust leak.

Strange that there was not leak. You might find it best to run a second nut up against the first and just tighten it a bit, this will act like a lock nut to help slow down any loosening. Spend another nickle and get the other one replaced so all of the nuts are the same size.
