hi all,
someone recently gave me an '86 Honda Elite 150D that didn't run. so far i've replaced the spark plug, put fresh oil and gas in it and am able to get it running. the catch is that it doesn't go anywhere. i took apart the drive pulley and clutch/driven pulley and cleaned/re-greased parts....the only thing that looked off was the stretched-out O ring gasket on the drive pulley. i replaced that... but still have issues. it seems as though the clutch is not engaging. at this point i think i should get calipers and measure everything to check for wear.
does anyone have advice for me? this is my very first automechanics project of any kind and i'd looooove some guidance. thank you!!

OK, this is an exploded picture of it; I'd like to know where you put the grease and how much of it did you use, what kind of condition is the drive belt in. Grease applied to the rollers (#4) might be ok but too much can keep them from doing their job. Grease applied to the smooth surfaces of parts number 3 and 1 would be not good.

Thanks for the advice! I put the grease on the rollers...about an ounce (per recommendation in manual). The faces (3 & 1) don't have any grease on them. Drive belt looks good and pretty new.....at this point I think I probably have to replace the clutch weights/shoes. I know that those wear out pretty often and are a major cause of clutch issues....
