So what's new here right? Nuttin. 'Cept who is doing this pair. Dad has been having a good week, for a man given 4 weeks to live, last Jan, for a man with less than 80% cardiac capacity.... Is this the last hoorah, calm before the storm.... who knows. But he wants to do something in the shop. So as long as he seems safe with whatever he needs to use, I rather him pass happy at the lathe, with a drill in hand, doing anything he can.....rather than sitting watching TV. Some of his previous Hobby scale work, includes models of farm hit&miss engines, a brass 4 cylinder which he bought only the case halves, timing cover, and flywheel as castings.....he made the rest, right down to winding his own valve springs.... So when he asked to make the 85cc bushings the other day, I said go for it... And now, I need 2 vented 50cc CVT covers, the 72 & 85.... I turned him loose again... I am proud of my work, sometimes even egotistical, but I don't ever want to over look the contributions my Dad makes to "our" projects either. I never know which contribution, might be his last.

That is great, and the brass motor is unbelievable, it is fantastic. It is great that he still gets to make something with his hands. I hope I can be productive towards that part of my life.

Ooooopss...back to the topic! Dad made me a great pair of CVT covers. Check 'em out! He's really feeling great here lately, it's hard to beleive. Still can't drive, and most likely will NEVER ride again. But with recent projects he's contributed too, "50cc case cutter, " the cvt covers, we decided, while he can, he's gonna join me in the shop, and take over tool & fixture building, which will save me time. I'll draw out what I need, he can see what I need it to do, should work well. Makes him happy too. o more just settin' back watching. And I ain't no fool.....I'll make use of his skills as long as he is safe doing what needs to be done. 1st tool, is for sheet metal fabrication....oh yeah, we're gonna be working with sheet metal soon too. I ain't even got warmed up yet!
