About 0815hrs, Wheeler Rd headed for Walton Way Extension.
While taking Dad to the Hospital, to get some blood work drawn, I see this scoot approaching in the RV mirror. We're doing about 40 in dad's Honda Pilot. He catches us at the red light going over I-20. Scooter is Vintage style, 2 tone paint, kinda a metallic brown, and off white. After market pipe, never did see a brand or model sticker. Small 10" wheels, under engine pivot....yup 50cc.
Nope, NOT HARDLY! Other that that aftermarket pipe, I coldn't tell what had been done, or how many cc's she was putting out. But when our Pilot hit 48mph, and he is STILL accelerating through traffic, passing traffic.
I guess I better get busy on Ross's bike, other wise, he's gonna get blown away. Money Ross...MONEY.....parts cost MONEY
But anyway....50cc scoots are multiplying around Augusta...BIG TIME! Gotta be a way to get every one together for a hook-up, week-end ride.....something!

Good idea about the hole punch and rubber band. I take cards with me all the time and put them on scooters inviting them to come to the forum, I don't think a single one has got a member here for us, but it makes me feel like I'm doing something to grow the forum.
A 50cc going that fast must be a 2 stroke don't you think.

Well... what we do is, we carry a stack of business cards with us and put one on every parked scooter we see. If you get a hole punch and punch holes in them, you can feed a rubber band through and band it to the hand grip. When we have events, we do the same thing with fliers. You would be surprised how many people respond! -Rich Business cards....rubber bands...GREAT IDEA. Now where the hell is that format for cards Doug posted a while back. I gots the card stock, I ca get on this, this weekend. There is a Barnes & Noble here locally, with a Star bucks inside, what 'y'all think about posting on the back of the card a M&G every 1st & 3rd Sunday, 1:00PM.... hen just be sure I show up every time, till someone starts showing up? No idea how to get it started. Could also go to the couple of B&M dealers, and card all their new inventory.... 3 dealers, Vespa, Rocketa, and Motofino. Looking for ideas uys....what y'all think?

A 50cc going that fast must be a 2 stroke don't you think. If it was a 2 stroke, he had the exhaust well muffled, and concealed behinf a 4 stroke exhaust can. Could have been a 150, with those funky little 10 wheels....that is more than likely what it was....short case 150, in the 50cc small type frame.....but that sucka was MOVING! Man I gotta get well, I need more than 1 hour in the shop, and I need my SCOOOOOT! I'm going 'ff'n nutzs. Had to watch Ross do 90% of his 1000 mile service.....WATCH!

That had t be you then. We were doing as steady a 40mph as we could in Dad's Pilot, and you were pulling away, and working traffic like an obstacle course. Thumbs up!
I'm not much of a church goer, so when, on a Sunday would be good for you, to do a Meet and Greet, Augusta Mall, Barnes & Noble/ Starbucks....10AM or 2PM ?

We'll work something out......got so much going in the shop right now, by evening time, I'm ready t crash! Dougies engine done, gotta get it prepped for shipment. another 50cc head and rocker arms to mod, along with a carb to upgrade a top end to identify, research, and quantify as a candidate for rebuild (Carlos couldn't even identify this one) Another head to port, lighten valves, set up valve springs, and port match the intake. And in my spare time, finish MM's wiring, build a "pro Steet 72cc" engine, and a "Full On" 85cc Strip engine Not to mention strip down and prep a 50c bike as a drag scoot! That's whay I sorta reserve weekends to ride. How about a Sunday morning Breakfast ride..... Waffle House, IHOP, CrackerBarrel? ? 9-10:00ish?
