Hey kliff, I know you put an electronic tach on the Silver Streak. What kind was it and how much did it cost? I want to get a cheap tach to hang on one of the Cubbies to get an idea of how much it's revving in its gears at speed.

Thanks. That's just what I need. Once I know what RPMs it's spinning I can shift and cruise accordingly. The lines on the speedometer seem a little optimistic to me. Twenty miles an hour in second gear for redline according to that. I'd be waiting for the crank to fall on the ground.

Actually the week before his road test his Mother found him a pickup truck. He's having the usual troubles adapting to its manual transmission. Once he gets it he should be ok, he has a strong sense of survival.

I did a review on the Clones here: www.motor-scooters-guide.com/bashan-bs48q2-moped.htmlAs you can see they've stirred up some interest out in the land. Not scooters, I know, but if it raises the number of two wheelers and opinions on Chinese rolling stock, it can't be bad.

Funny Story:
A little while after I did the valve adjustment the black one started making a strange noise occasionally. I was just about to report that these things aren't so "Trouble Free" afterall. I thought about the noise and it occurred to me that it sounded just like a kick starter engaging a running engine. Sure enough, I was putting my leg against the kick starter while I was riding and that was where the noise was from. All I had to do was move my foot forward on the peg-problem solved.
