well this is only practical if your doing a engine swap but still here goes. ive heard its a PITA to get a standard uni under the treadle mount on these without some extension or what have ya but when installing my new engine(used with 700 miles) ya mount the uni strait to the carb install the carb onto the already installed intake then,....... mount the treadle to the case ..... fits perfect and doesn't compress the uni or anything! fits like its meant to be there lol who woulda thunk .... oh btw since the new motor is a longcase with drum brakes and my poor lil 10'' wheel wont fit anymore i guess im gonna switch to a 13'' and since ,my shocks now sit lower and its slightly lowered in the rear i might as well lower the front too . so im gonna paint the wheels red , keepin 13'' out back 10 inches up front , the body plastic is all scratched and broken so i guess ill have to paint it satin black with a nice red pinstripe convert to the bare chrome handlebar assembly getting rid of the plastic bug eyes pieces and since im doing that ive got a set of old 50's vw bug headlight assembly , the ones with the glass cover im gonna toss the factory headlights and switch to a single vw headlight frenched into the front cowl what ya think real rat rod scoot?

Hey, those early VW bug headlights were used with great success on every type of custom car and road-racer "back in the day"! No reason one shouldn't be super on the honker of your scoot! Be prepared for a lot of inquiries as to what the headlight came from, and "where can I get one?"
Those are the kinds of custom tricks that really make a nice one-off vehicle, regardless of how many wheels it has!
Enjoy the ride!

Be sure you toss the actual light and get something bright put in there. VW headlights were never too bright on those bugs, it would be nice to see where you are going before you get there.

oh and btw one of the lenses got broken so i only have one left so over the winter ive got to figure out how to get the slant to the side out of it and as far as the bulb what i think ill do is find one of the crystal clear housings that fit into a sealed beam mount that allow you to use the standard modular bulb and drop a blue beam into it but thats a project for the winter
