well the motor i bought of craigs list today turns out to be a 153Qmi , so now im searching for info on this motor best i can figure is its 125 cc anyone know if its parts interchangeable to 157qmj cuz im trying to decide if i should just throw it in and run it and rebuild my 157qmj with 5k plus miles on it or if i should just hold off two weeks and big bore the 153 and start fresh btw the 153 was pulled out of a wrecked scoot with around 7-8 hundred miles

the full engine number is VE153QMI i did find out the VE designation means its branded by vento so the motor came out of a 06 0r 07 vento 150 before they started put in the 157qmj's but thats all i can find out thus far all the pages i could find on google were old closed threads and most are from over seas and the translate this page function is a joke lol

You know I usually see a reference in the ads on ebay for the big bore kits that indicates the motors they will fit on, this one does not ring a bell. You might try asking "Carlos" if he knows if his kits will fit it. The guys seem to have a lot of confidence in his honesty.

Unless I knew the person replying to a question of this nature as having actual, first hand knowledge, and being uber responsible in answerring questions of this nature, I'd be very leery of answer sources. Me....I ain't got a clue.
I'd be questionning Carlos if Enviro, Jim, Indy, XS, RD, et al, didn't know. In other words, have you contacted Carlos yet, and maybe CC'd, Jim, Indy, or Enviro.

Kuzi, if you are looking for a kit for your engine...... do what I did Take a set of calipers and measure your case opening head and jug heighth and maybe take pics with the calipers on the parts. Email carlos (autech355) and he will set you up, maybe ask him if he's heard of a 153 After he saw my measurements... he sent me a 61mm that required no machining as far as the 153 qmi.... thats a first to me , usually a 152 is the 125cc gy6 as has been previously stated

Not trying to upset either one of you, but, I think Kliff just said he didn't know and was not going to give an opinion. Your previous post was just referring to information you found on another site. In my book you did the right thing saying were you found information. I really didn't take Kliffs comment as directed at you.

lol i have a talent for getting oddball unique no ones ever heard of stuff , when i have time i need to take valve cover back off and measure bolt spacing on the cam hold down and the two lil bolts tah hold the jug to the block if they are the same id feel comfortable buying a kit for it
