Finally got my bike running after a good few weeks. Now I decide it is time to install my OKO flatside.
Bike starts and I figure I'ma pull the choke. Ok, now the thing idles at 4K rpm ... LOL. I pushed the choke back down and still 4000 rpm.
I adjusted the cable to get as much slack as I can and still have no play. Is the cable to short? Is there an idle speed adjustment? Why would it idle at 4K?
Any ideas?

There is an idle screw that you can adjust. (mikuni experience). If your bike is warm and running i am surprised it would not flood your engine to a stall if the chock was on. There is also an air mixture screw that you can adjust as well. It will affect rpms. And when i go to reinstall mine this coming winter please have it all figured out so i can bug you how to get mine working right lol!
How it helped some Ray

It's bit of long short, but check to see that the cable ends are both properly seated in the throttle and the slide.
You need slack, you can shorten the housing a bit to get slack, but check everything else first to be sure something isn't hanging up.
Did it idle OK before you pulled the choke?

Thanks for the replies.
I did have to shorten the housing. I screwed the metal part of the housing near the grip way up in there so the threads actually disappeared. Now the idle adjustment screw works and she's back to about 1400rpms.
Now I just gatta figure out if I'm to lean or rich. At 3/4 to WOT it stutters and boggs down real bad. What you guys think?
