Evening Rebels well here we go i read about this plug at SD i no longer have an account there and no longer post there either. I saw somebody asking about this spark plug E3.36 so i thought what the heck i will try it so i went to advance auto and had the guy order me one and it came in today , picked up on the way back from the Orthopedic doc. I had to wait for a bit for the old shoulder to settle down and i just put the new plug in. Now let me tell you i just put a brand new NGK in last week for the heck of it 3800 miles but the plug looked great but i wanted to try this other one. My scooter has always had a tad bit of a cold nature to it but no issues starting it crack the throttle 1 time crank throttle crank and fire. My 1st impression of this plug is how much it reminds me of a split fire plug but with a more refined opening for the spark the picture is what the firing area looks like so instead of having to come around the ground electrode it fires right through the bottom looks good on paper. My lil scooter fired right up with this plug, my idle before hand was right about 2000 rpm and was a little bit rough, the windshield would shake as well as the mirrors but not horrible pretty much the nature of a single hammer engine with the new plug i was able to drop idle down to about 1450 and you wanna talk about smooth this is the best the scooter has done even from day 1 I just filled my tank and have 5 miles on it before the new plug i get about 160 - 170 miles on a tank 180 if i push it to the limit i will do my utmost to get everyone a good solid MPG good or bad and see where it stands they boast of 12% increase of power(it does seem a little bit peppier off the line) use 13% less fuel Reduce toxic emissions up to 58% and have an anti foul design i got a pic of the front of the package as well as soon as the weather breaks and we stop getting rained on i will take the scooter out and see how it fairs Darrin

i also forgot to mention this plug E3-36 uses a standard 5/8" spark plug socket . mrsg: i can not cross either of those plugs directly but it appears that the E3-32 may be a very close plug to the C7HSA , A7RTC , CR7HIX so i would see if one of the local parts stores can get ya one or has one to look at before ya buy it or will order it with a prepay take your old plug with ya and measure compare it. check these 2 pages www.sparkplugs.com/results_cross.asp?pid=e332&x=44&y=11www.sparkplugs.com/results_fitment.asp?pid=e332

JR : i am running one right now, and my first thoughts on this plug where WOW ,but now after running this plug for a bit so far like 81 miles my feelings are not so wow at this time just in this short amount of time MPG is really suffering , Take is good throttle respond through power band is good, starting the scooter is becoming a chore (kinda like how you described your Iridium plug ) so far the testing has been done with city back roads but no distance rides as of yet. am a bit disappointed with the plug at this time but if i were to take it out we wouldnt have a good set of numbers to go by so i will run the plug through i am going to say 4 tanks of fuel and see how it fares

i have an update on gas mileage we just did 134 mile 2up ride last night. Lots of hills lots of straight shot lots of twists and turns and an all around kick ass ride!! scooter is still hard to start i feel the plug is a bit cold for initial start but is golden the remainder of time to me the uphill throttle response is great normally on hilss this size 2 up i could get tops of WOT 43 MPH with the E3 plug 2up i could nail these hills at 50 WOT there is a slight improvement in overall idle but nothing to brag about . I had no complaints from riders behind me of unburned fuel smell now i have seen an overall increase in fuel economy its has gone from a very nice 63 MPG typically 1up riding *which i was happy with* to a 2up increase to 66.3 MPG *very nice* i hope this is a constant but we all know weather conditions really have an effect on performance so as i burn more through the tank i will continue to update everyone on MPG Darrin

I emailed E3 about the C7HSA spark plug. Here is what they said:Thank you for our interest in E3 Spark Plugs. I am sorry but we do not make a replacement plug for a C7HSA at this time.

i couldn't cross it over with the reference material i had but it looked like there may have been 2 plugs that may work but without being able to compare side by side i wouldn't try it but if you know somebody at your local parts store that would be willing to bring the plugs in house for comparison you could put then put the c7has next to the E3 32 it may be close and maybe usable but like i said you would have to do a side by side look

A E3-32 is a 14mm plug with a 1/2 reach. I had one of those in my hand. E3 make NO plug for the C7HSA, Their words not mine.

have an MPG update and its not good ,i ran my gas through fuelly and right now over the course of 3 tanks i am only averaging 58.1 MPG. now being curious i pulled the plug. now my plate says gap at .027 - .030 so i went in the middle or there about. since then scooter has been very hard to start so i re-gapped the plug to .020 checked valve gap while i had the plug out. The valve gap was fine no adjustment needed so when i put the plug back in i gave it a shot to fire and son of a gun it fired right up not even a full crank it it was off and running , so i am going to leave it be for now and keep running my fills through fuelly and keep every updated on this E3 plug
