OK my scooter problems have me stumped. Perhaps some fellow rebels can come up with some ideas.
I rode my scoot to work one day and it was running GREAT. I parked it at work and 8 hours later I come outside to go home and it will barely turn over let alone start. I put it in the back of a co-workers pick-up and take it home.
I called Jeremy @ Enviromoto and over the phone I have him listen to my scoot. With his help we discover that the bushing is missing that sits in the CVT cover and that the bendix goes into. I buy a new bushing, install it and the scoot will still not start.
I take my battery with me that had been on the trickle charger to the local auto shop and they tell me it is bad but I hook it up to my tester at home and it is reading 12 volts. I take it to a local Italian scooter shop (jerks) and they test the voltage and they say it is fine.
So thinking that perhaps my starter and bendix are bad, I buy new ones. They arrived today and I installed them. The scoot will still barely turn over. I am at a loss. I don't understand how the scooter can be running great when you park it and then 8 hours later refuse to start back up. Perhaps my battery is bad even though the voltage is reading 12 on the meter? If anyone could offer some advice or suggestions I would GREATLY appreciate it. I find it hard to think my engine seized up. PLEASE help me...I miss riding my scooter. By the way..it is a 2007 Roketa Maui 72cc.
