So, today I just put a new carburetor on my Taotao 150, and I hadn't noticed, but the mixture screw was turned all the way out. I adjusted it, and noticed it maybe ran a tiny bit smoother, and I lost a tiny bit of power....but does anyone know what would happen if I ran it with the screw all the way out, getting the most air and fuel possible?

with the motor running, you turn the screw in until the motor starts to run rough, then you turn the screw out until it starts to run rough. exactly right in the middle of the screw in and screw out is the place to set the screw.

That's the thing though. It runs great now, but it ran okay before, it just shook a bit. I mean, it's more performance oriented, so I wanna get the most power possible, but not at the cost of damaging the engine

turning the screw all the way out will add more fuel, it won't add more air. the mixture of air and fuel has to be where the motor likes it. you're not going to get more power just by adding more fuel to the idle circuit. put the screw between the two extremes that's where it needs to be.
