To make a long story sort I was going down the road and all of a sudden my light cuts out. I start to fiddle with the switch and the only time it'll come on is if I hold the passing side of the switch down the whole time, so now it's duct taped. I tried a brand new switch and it did the same thing, also checked all the connections and both the filaments in the bulb are good. Does anyone have any idea what I can do besides try another wire harness?

check the ground and see if when you hit the brakes if the light gets brighter or dim also check the bulbs with a voltmeter ive had shorted bulbs that visually look ok but were shorting out the headlight harness and switch

there has to be a connection you are completing when you press down on that slide. I'd check it out until I found it.

I 'm going to try a new bulb tomorrow. I also think it is in the holder for the bulb.
